🍴⁠ RECIPE 🍴⁠
INGREDIENTS:⁠
100 g of unsalted butter⁠
90 g of caster sugar⁠
1 egg yolk⁠
195 g of plain flour⁠
5 g of Zen Tea Leaf® Matcha Green Tea Powder⁠
⁠
⁠
Instructions:⁠
Sift in flour & matcha. Set aside.⁠
In the bowl, cream the butter & sugar until combined.⁠
Separate the egg yolk and egg white. Set aside.⁠
Blend the egg yolks for a minute.⁠
Divide the creamed butter mixture into half. Leave half in the electric mixer bowl & gradually mix in the plain flour on low speed until combined⁠
Take it out & wrap the dough with the cling wrap & shape into 2x4x20cm long board then refrigerate for 30 mins.⁠
Place the plain dough on a clean work surface & cut it in half. Brush the cut surface with egg whites, then place the matcha dough on top of the plain dough & cut it in half again.⁠
Repeat until you have that plain colour and matcha colour alternate.⁠
Gently press together & wrap it with a cling wrap sheet.⁠
Refrigerate for 1 hour.⁠

Preheat the oven to 160°C.⁠
Line a baking tray with a baking sheet.⁠
Take out the cookie dough from the fridge.⁠
Slice it about 5mm thick and place it on the baking tray.⁠
Bake them for 20 mins⁠
Remove from the oven & transfer to a serving plate.⁠
