Take a bite out of this MATCHA MADELEINES and enjoy the benefits of Matcha!
🍴 RECIPE 🍴
6 tbsp of unsalted butter
2 large eggs
1 large egg yolk
⅓ cup + 2 tbsp of granulated sugar
½ tsp of pure vanilla extract
¾ cup of all-purpose flour
2 tsp of Zen Tea Leaf® Matcha Green Tea Powder
½ tsp of baking powder
¼ tsp of kosher salt
confectioners sugar, for dusting
Melt butter & let it cool.
In a large bowl, beat eggs & egg yolk until light in color.
Slowly add sugar & continue to beat until thick & pale in color. Then stir in vanilla.
In another bowl, whisk in flour, matcha powder, baking powder & salt.
Gently fold in dry ingredients into the egg mixture.
Add & fold in melted butter until absorbed into batter.
Transfer batter to an airtight container & refrigerate for 3 hours.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Butter & flour a madeleine pan. Tap out any excess flour.
Then fill madeleine pan with ¾ full of batter.
Bake it for 12 minutes.
Let it cook before inverting & unmolding.
Dust it with powdered sugar.
