This soft, chewy, and sweet MATCHA MOCHI is a classic Japanese treat that is really easy to make at home. Plus! You can customize the filling!

 

 

Follow this recipe to make a delicious one.

🍴⁠ RECIPE 🍴⁠
INGREDIENTS:⁠
6 tbsp of mochiko sweet rice flour⁠
2 tbsp of sugar⁠
1/2 tsp of Zen Tea Leaf® Matcha Green Tea Powder⁠
6 tbsp of water⁠
1/4 cup of cornstarch for dusting⁠
1/2 cup of red bean paste⁠


Instructions:⁠
In a microwave-safe bowl, mix in mochiko, sugar & Matcha.⁠
Add in water & mix until dissolved.⁠
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap & icrowave for 2 minutes. Take it out & mix.⁠
Cover again & microwave for 30 more seconds until the dough becomes slightly translucent.⁠
Place a sheet of parchment paper on the working surface & dust it with cornstarch.⁠
Transfer the dough onto the parchment paper & sprinkle more cornstarch onto the dough.⁠
Divide it into 4 parts & flatten it into a circular shape.⁠
Scoop out red bean paste & place it in the center of the mochi wrapper.⁠
Pinch together the four corners of the mochi wrapper.⁠
Tap the bottom of mochi with cornstarch & gently brush to remove excess cornstarch.⁠
SERVE and ENJOY!⁠
