Matcha Mochi Toast

š“ā RECIPE š“ā
INGREDIENTS:ā
2 slices of buttermilk breadā
1/4 cup of sweet glutinous flourā
2 tbsp of hot water or milkā
pinch of saltā
handful of chopped roasted almondsā
Matcha Milk Tea jamā
ā
*Matcha Milk Tea jamā
1 cup of milkā
1/2 cup of heavy creamā
1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milkā
3 tbsp of sugarā
1/4 cup of Zen Tea LeafĀ® Matcha Green Tea Powderā
ā
ā
Instructions:ā
*Making matcha jamā
In a small pot add milk, cream, condensed milk & sugar.ā
Simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes, stirring from time to time.ā
Add & sift in matcha powder into the pot and whisk vigorously to incorporate ā
Simmer for another 15 minutes until pretty darn thick.ā
Pour into a glass jar and let it cool before putting a lid on it. Keep in fridge.ā

*Assembleā
In a small bowl, mix sweet glutinous flour & salt with hot water.ā
Then form it into a ball & roll into a slice of bread ā
Heat a small fry pan with a little bit of oil.ā
Add your mochi square onto the pan and fry on medium heat for 2 minutes each sideā
Spread matcha jam onto a piece of toast.ā
Sprinkle chopped almonds over it & place another piece on top.ā
SERVE and ENJOY!ā
