Why have plain waffles when you can have matcha waffles? Light and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these MATCHA WAFFLES are delicious and easy to make!
Follow this recipe to make a delicious one.

1 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
5 tablespoon of sugar
2 tablespoon of baking powder
1 tablespoon of Zen Tea Leaf® Matcha Green Tea Powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of whole milk
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
1/2 tablespoon of vanilla
1. In a bowl, sift and mix dry ingredients. In another bowl, mix wet ingredients and add to dry mix.
2. Ladle waffle mix onto a waffle maker. (We didn't fill the waffle maker to the outer edges since we wanted the pretty matcha green to show.)
3. Cook until golden brown. and we cooked 2.5 minutes on one side, then flipped for another 2.5 minutes for a total cooking time of 5 minutes.
4. Serve hot and toasty with maple syrup and salted cultured butter.
